This Privacy Policy describes how QR Scanner & Barcode Generator ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Automatically Collected Data (Advertising)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads:

• Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• Device information (model, OS version, language)
• IP address
• App interaction data (ad impressions, clicks)

On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before accessing your advertising identifier. On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

1.2 Local App Data

All scan history and QR code creations are stored locally on your device using Hive database. We do not transmit, upload, or store this data on any remote server. Your scan history belongs to you and never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

1.3 Permissions

The app requests the following permissions solely for functionality:

• Camera — Required to scan QR codes and barcodes
• Photos / Storage — Required to save generated QR code images to your gallery

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
• To remember your scan history and app settings locally
• To generate and save QR codes to your device

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — For GDPR consent management

4. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — Your data is stored locally; you can view all scan history within the app
• Deletion — Use "Clear history" in Settings to delete all local data
• Consent withdrawal — Use "Manage ad preferences" in Settings to update your ad consent choices at any time
• Opt-out of sales — We do not sell your personal data

5. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Security

Since all your scan data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings. We recommend keeping your device locked with a PIN, password, or biometric authentication.
